The Aquatics Area is one of the most popular areas in camp, offering a diverse selection of merit badges and activities designed to teach safe practices and instill skill proficiency while also enjoying the beauty of Lake Monroe.
Merit Badges taught in the Aquatics Area include:

Small Boat Sailing

Water Sports

Instructional Swimming
Mile Swim BSA
Open Swimming
Open Boating
Troop Activities
Troops can organize activities like Troop Swim, Troop Float, or Troop Canoe Treks at the waterfront for their troop by speaking to the Aquatics Director at camp or before camp at aquatics@ransburgbsa.org.

First Aid & CPR
Scouts taking an Aquatics MB are encouraged to complete CPR and First Aid before coming to camp. It will not be part of the MB instruction, and is a prerequisite. Check the Documents & Downloads page for a printable form you can use to track these prior to arriving at camp prerequisites.
Leader Training Opportunities
Adult leaders can take advantage of two different advanced safety courses taught at the waterfront, Swim and Water Rescue and Paddle Craft Safety.
